Ramganj Police Thwart Potential Crime, Arrest Suspect with Illegal Firearm in Ajmer

Ajmer witnessed a significant police operation as Ramganj police apprehended an individual found in possession of a country-made pistol and four live cartridges. The swift action reportedly thwarted a potential criminal act, as authorities suspect the arrested man was preparing for a serious incident in the area.

The arrest followed a crucial tip-off from Cyber Cell officer Vijay Singh Rawat. Acting on this intelligence, a police team launched a targeted raid near Jonesganj, where they successfully cornered and detained the suspect, identified as Sagar Valmiki.

During a thorough search, officers recovered the illicit firearm and ammunition from Valmiki. Police officials indicated that the accused was observed loitering in the vicinity, seemingly casing the area with an intent to commit a crime. He is said to be a resident of the Gandhinagar police station jurisdiction.
