RAS Officer Bharatraj Gurjar Back in Ajmer, Past Controversy Resurfaces

Ajmer is buzzing with news of a significant administrative change. RAS officer Bharatraj Gurjar, who found himself in the spotlight nearly two years ago due following a public spat with local MLA Anita Bhadel, has now been reassigned to Ajmer once more. He steps into the role of Deputy Commissioner at the Ajmer Municipal Corporation as part of a large-scale state government reshuffle.

This major administrative overhaul, impacting 183 RAS officers across the state, comes just ahead of the upcoming local body elections. Ajmer, in particular, has seen several key administrative positions change hands.

The Past Dispute: A Quick Recap

Bharatraj Gurjar first made headlines about two years back when he was serving as the Deputy Commissioner at the Ajmer Development Authority (ADA). A controversy erupted involving MLA Anita Bhadel. Back then, in November, the MLA had leveled serious allegations against Gurjar during a public hearing, specifically regarding his actions in sealing a gas godown.

Following the complaint and the ensuing public discussion, Gurjar's zone was changed, and he was eventually transferred out of Ajmer. His re-posting to the city now brings that old incident back into the public discourse.

Other Key Administrative Changes in Ajmer

The reshuffle hasn't just brought Gurjar back to Ajmer; it has also introduced several other new faces and shifted responsibilities within the city's administration. Narendra Kumar Meena, who served as Ajmer's ADM City, has been transferred to Malpura. In his place, Praveen Kumar Gugarwal has been appointed as the new ADM City.

The vacant Deputy Commissioner position at the Ajmer Development Authority has now been filled by Ashok Kumar. Additionally, Divya Soni has been assigned as Assistant Collector in Ajmer. Other significant appointments include Dharmendra Verma as Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) in Sawar, Sunil Meena as SDO in Bhinay, Mohan Chaudhary as SDO in Pisangan, and Archana Bugalia as SDO in Arai.
