Ajmer Witnessing Unique Sawan Zeal

As the holy month of Sawan enters its final phase, the spiritual fervor across Ajmer is palpable. The city is bustling with thousands of devotees, or Kanwariyas, making their way to various Shiva temples, carrying sacred water from the revered Pushkar Sarovar.

Young Skaters Lead a Special Kanwar Procession

Amidst the traditional processions, a truly heartwarming and unique sight unfolded. More than 100 young children, brimming with enthusiasm, embarked on a special Kanwar Yatra. These 'Nonihaal' (young ones) glided on skates, carrying their beautifully adorned Kanwars from Nayi Chopati to the historic Purani Chopati Shiva Temple.

The innovative procession was a collaborative effort by the Ajmer Bharat Vikas Parishad and the Velocity Model Club, aiming to engage the younger generation in the sacred traditions while promoting physical activity.

Recognizing Creativity and Devotion

Upon reaching the Purani Chopati temple, the young participants showcased their creativity in a special Kanwar decoration competition. The children had meticulously decorated their Kanwars, presenting a vibrant display of devotion and artistic flair.

The most exquisitely decorated Kanwars were recognized and awarded by the Bharat Vikas Parishad, encouraging the children's participation and fostering a deeper connection to their cultural heritage.
