In a significant operation targeting illegal arms, the Ramganj police station, working in close coordination with the District Special Team (DST), has successfully apprehended an individual found in possession of an unlicensed firearm. The joint action led to a substantial recovery, marking another step in maintaining law and order.
Authorities confirmed the seizure of one illegal country-made single-barrel cap gun (desi topidar bandook) from the arrested suspect. The weapon was confirmed to be without any valid license, making its possession illegal.
Accused Identified, Caught Red-Handed on Intelligence
The individual arrested in connection with this case has been identified as Ashiq, son of Roshan. He is a resident of Sai Ka Badia in Somalpur. Police sources indicated that the arrest was a direct result of precise intelligence gathering.
Acting swiftly on the received information, the police team moved in to apprehend the accused. Ashiq was caught red-handed with the weapon, leaving no room for doubt about his involvement.
Following his arrest, Ashiq is slated to be presented before the court today. Legal proceedings will commence as the authorities pursue justice in this matter.
