Ajmer Sees Huge Turnout for ‘Save Saras’ Rally
Ajmer, August 23, 2026: A massive wave of public anger swept through Ajmer on Sunday as thousands converged at Kachhawa Garden (Tabiji) for a 'Saras Sahakar Mahakumbh'. The rally, spearheaded by Ajmer Dairy Chairman and 'Hero of the White Revolution', Ramchandra Chaudhary, protested against an alleged conspiracy to dismantle the state's 'Sarस' dairy system and 'backdoor' entry for Gujarat's 'Amul'.
Milk producers, farmers, youth, and women turned out in huge numbers, chanting slogans like 'Remove Amul, Save Saras'. Chaudhary's leadership made it clear this isn't just a dairy movement, but a decisive battle for systemic change in Rajasthan.
Congress Backs Movement, Slams BJP
The unprecedented enthusiasm of the crowd left PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra visibly impressed. The Congress party's top brass extended its full support to Ramchandra Chaudhary's public movement, launching a scathing attack on the policies of both the central Modi government and the state's Bhajanlal government.
Key Leaders Unite, Present 11-Point Demand Letter
The stage at Kachhawa Garden saw a significant gathering of Congress heavyweights. PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra, Dairy Chairman Ramchandra Chaudhary, Kishangarh MLA Dr. Vikas Chaudhary, former ministers Ramlal Jat and Dharmendra Singh Rathore, and State Women Congress President Dr. Sarika Singh were all present. Senior leaders Jog Singh Balot, Ramlal Bishnoi, and Bhikharam Chaudhary also marked their strong presence.
On this historic occasion, milk producers and leaders unanimously submitted a stern 11-point memorandum to the administration. The demands included:
- Immediate cancellation of Amul's registration in Rajasthan.
- Protection and preservation of the Sarस dairy system.
- Prompt release of outstanding grants for livestock farmers.
