ABRSM Draws a Line: Keep Politics Out of Schools

Jaipur witnessed a strong declaration from the All India National Educational Federation (ABRSM) today, asserting that 'temples of education' will not be allowed to transform into political wrestling grounds. The federation has taken a firm stand against external interference and the political exploitation of teachers within government schools.

The ABRSM's stern statement comes in the wake of a recent incident. Reports indicate that CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka, accompanied by some outsiders, attempted an inspection at a government school. This move was met with resistance from local villagers, reportedly escalating into an argument involving alleged verbal abuse and physical altercations.

Incident Under Scrutiny: ABRSM Condemns Violence, Questions Motives

While the federation made it clear that violence or physical assault cannot be condoned under any circumstances, it also raised a critical question: why are political disputes being brought into government school premises? The ABRSM highlighted that established channels within the education department and administration are available for individuals or organizations with concerns about a school's management, facilities, or academic standards.

Entering school premises without following due process to instigate political conflicts is simply unacceptable, the federation stated.
