Ajmer Villagers Petition Collector Over Illegal Grazing Land Encroachment and Threats

A petition, presented by concerned villagers, details how government-designated grazing land, recorded for public use in revenue records (Account No. New-125, Old-128, Khasra Nos. 179/845, 90/838, 91/829), has been illegally occupied. This land, crucial for the community's cattle, is now reportedly under cultivation.

Allegations of Illegal Occupation and Threats

The petition specifically names four individuals from Kadampura village: Shaitan Jat s/o Omkar Jat, Basram Jat s/o Deva Jat, Deva Jat s/o Sukka Jat, and Omkar Jat s/o Sukka Jat. These individuals are accused of not only encroaching upon the land and sowing crops but also actively preventing local cattle owners from accessing it for grazing.

Villagers report frequent altercations and threats. Shaitan Jat, in particular, has allegedly issued open threats of murder if anyone attempts to bring their animals to the land, reportedly boasting about a past murder conviction. This has instilled widespread fear among the residents.

Community Faces Severe Livestock Crisis

The intimidation has led to villagers being unable to utilize the land, leaving their livestock without adequate grazing areas. This situation has created a significant challenge for local cattle owners, directly impacting their livelihoods and the well-being of their animals.

The core purpose of the public land, intended for communal benefit, is severely undermined by these alleged illegal activities. Villagers like Gopak, Gaya, Amrav, Badilal, Bhavarlal, Pramraj, Bal, Surendra, Prahlad, and Hanuman are among those consistently raising these concerns.

The community is now appealing to the District Collector to ensure the land is freed from encroachment and appropriate legal action is taken against those responsible.
